Dr. Matt Lewis: Redeye Bass Expert, Author, & Fly Fisherman

Dr. Lewis is a scientist who works in the field of genetics. he is the leading voice on the Alabama native species, Redeye Bass. Dr. Lewis literally wrote the book on fly fishing for redeye bass. Bryan has known Matt for about 5 years now, ever since he and Jonathan Kelley founded the Redeye Bass Slam. We discuss a host of topics from the immense fishing diversity of our beautiful state, Alabama all the way to why we should be good stewards of the resources that have been entrusted to us. Matt has some incredible insight and graciously shares his passion and story with us. If you love the sport of fly fishing and getting in the weeds on conservation, you won’t want to miss this episode.

Brad is a Family Discipleship and missions pastor for Mars Hill Church in Mobile, Ala. When he's not serving in those capacities, you can find him outdoors riding his bike, on a walk, or with a fly rod in his hand. Brad is married to Paige Hill, and they have two children Stella and Liam.
